How (well) people live is largely determined by local living conditions. Sufficient and qualitatively appealing services of general interest, an age-appropriate and socio-economically and culturally diverse social space are an important basis. However, segregation tendencies are becoming apparent and regional disparities are increasing. The social space offers the level to react quickly and flexibly to changing challenges. We research the connections between local regional living conditions and quality of life and work with local stakeholders to develop solutions for sustainably better living conditions.
