About us

Institut Arbeit und Technik - Knowledge and innovation for prosperity and quality of life

The Institute for Work and Technology (IAT) sees itself as a research and development institution whose scientific and practical interest is in the organization of knowledge and innovation for sustainable prosperity and quality of life. As a central institution of the Westfälische Hochschule Gelsenkirchen, Bocholt, Recklinghausen and cooperation partner of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, the IAT forms a joint competence center for innovation of the two universities.

To this end, interfaces between basic university research and applied research at the university of applied sciences are developed and expanded.
