Health is the basis for individual quality of life and the prosperity of society as well as a driver for technological innovation and a strong economy. Our research therefore takes several levels into account, including the needs-oriented design of regional healthcare provision, the security of healthcare provision and the influence of environmental conditions in old age. We research organizational concepts, health economic and technological innovations and identify mechanisms of action between individual health behaviour, personal responsibility for health and health literacy. Our focus is on the development and testing of beneficial approaches for better health and quality of life.
