WG Sustainability

Sustainability represents a cross -sectional requirement that must be taken into account both in the internal structure and everyday operational operation of the institute as well as indirectly in the research activity of the institute.

The WG was founded in 2019 in order to place the basics of greater consideration of the sustainability factor in the operational operation of the institute. Another work level of the AG is the promotion of the linking of research projects of the four research focuses on the overall social sustainability debate. In addition to sustainability goals, the focus is on a more sustainable social and economic system.

In the short term, the WG's work focuses in particular on the implementation of measures in everyday operation. The medium to long-term goal is to establish an exchange for sustainability aspects beyond individual projects, which forms the basis for future projects at the interface between the original topics of the IAT and the field of social-ecological research. The AG also sees itself as a platform for exchange of competence.
