“Digital Health Literacy for Migrants”

The European project “Digital Health Literacy for Migrants” promotes the enhancement of digital health skills (attitudes, knowledge, skills) of migrants for improving there digital health literacy

The kick-off meeting marked the start of the "Digital Health Literacy for Migrants" (Development of a training program for improving digital health literacy of migrants) project, which is coordinated by the Institute for Work and Technology (IAT /Westfälische Hochschule – University of Applied Sciences).  The project is aimed at increasing of Digital Health Literacy of Migrants population, that is their ability to seek, find, understand, and appraise health information from electronic sources and apply the knowledge gained to addressing or solving a health problem.

The duration of the project is 24 months. While the project, the Consortium will develop training materials and an online platform for implementing a training methodology. This will include a "peer to peer" training where migrants will train peers.

The Consortium is formed by the following partners:

  • media k GmbH (Germany),
  • OXFAM ITALY (Italy),
  • PROLEPSIS (Greece),
  • University Valencia (Spain)

Digital Health Literacy for Migrants is a project funded by the European Commission within the ERASMUS+ 2020 Program.
